1.12 Tracking changes

This feature is used to characterize any text modified in the document. For example, a deleted word will be crossed out, a modified sentence will be colored, etc.

To start tracking, perform the following operations:

Show Comments and Changes pane

All changes will be displayed in the left panel with the author's name. If the document is shared by several people, the Apple ID will be shown in the comments area. Once the changes are made, you can accept or reject them.

In brief

Many tools are at your disposal for the document layout. The text is always contained within margins that you can modify if necessary. The various menus and icons in the toolbar make it easy to present the document.

The sections enable you to define several headers and footers. Tables are structured in cells, rows and columns with the possibility to insert calculation formulas. The settings are available in the Preferences menu.

Chapter 2 will deal with styles and the table of contents.
